About Jennette McCurdy

Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy (born June 26, 1992) is an American actress and singer best known as “Sam” Puckett on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. She was born in Garden Grove, California and has three older brothers. She gained interest in acting after watching Harrison Ford in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and started her acting career at the age of eight. Amongst her distinguished film and TV credits, she has starred with her idol, Harrison Ford in the 2003 movie, Hollywood Homicide.

In June 2008, Jennette announced on her official web site that she was working on her debut album, due for release on  June 30th 2009.  Her first single, “So Close”, was released on March 10, 2009 and is now available in the iTunes store.  It attracted a wide attention with many people starting to sing covers of it and dance to it on Youtube.  On May 19th, she released “Homeless Heart”, a cover song from Amanda Stott and others and dedicated a sizeable portion of the proceeds to the Cody Waters Foundation, in memory of Cody Waters. All these songs were produced under Ty Stevens and the label Your Tyme Records, LLC.

Currently, she is signed on with Capitol Records and is engaged with many producers and writers in Nashville who are assisting her in her upcoming album, to be released soon. She has so far released a single, “Not That Far Away” and an EP of the single containing it and four other songs. The single has hit the Billboard Charts at #58. Her second single, “Generation Love” went further, reaching a high of #44.
